PROJECTS AND WORK

HOMEGROWN YOUTH DANCE THEATRE

SURGE (11th-12th JAN 2020)

I was invited to choreograph a dance work for Homegrown Dance Theatre during their January intensive at the Tatton Hall Centre. My piece is called Surge and is based around the current theme of marine pollution and the affects this has on the sea-life, combined with a strong, swelling and wavelike movement vocabulary inspired by the dynamics of the sea. This piece will be performed in Runcorn as part of a dance showcase in March 2020. I also led company class each morning for the dancers.

As my role as an Outreach Artist for The Place CAT Scheme in London I am currently visiting St Marylebone High School each week to create a piece for the CAT Secondary School Partnership Platform in February as well as their school dance performance in January. DANCE TEACHER AS PART OF INSTITUTIONS

Louise Carter School of Dance
Bramhall School of Dance

At Louise Carter School of Dance (Congleton, Cheshire) I currently teach Saturday classes: Ballet, Tap and Modern ISTD syllabus, Grades Pre-Primary to Grade 2. I also teach a Contemporary Technique Class in the afternoon as well as Strength and Conditioning. Furthermore I occasionally lead a basic Ballet class on a Tuesday Evening.
At Bramhall School of Dancing (Bramhall, Stockport) I teach a Thursday Strength and Conditioning class at two different levels. We focus on strength, stamina and flexibility and the classes vary with different exercises as the focus shifts each week slightly. I also do private classes for dancers who are preparing for competitions or shows to either choreograph pieces or work on performance skills and technique.

MY CLASSES

Classes ran by myself through my own buisness

At Eaton Bank Academy, (Congleton, Cheshire) each Monday, I deliver an after-school workshop from 3:00pm-4:30pm that welcomes all ages. I shift the focus each week and cover lots of performance and exercise elements such as Physical Theatre, Contemporary, Strength and Conditioning and Creative and Improvisation.

I teach Line Dancing classes every other Tuesday evening for The Women's Institute Mossley. This is a basic beginners class but a brilliant chance for the women to get moving, have fun and socialise!

I WILL BE BEGINNING NEW CLASSES VERY SOON SO KEEP LOOKING FOR UPDATES
